WE ARE PROUDLY CELEBRATING 40 YEARS!

The Next Grant Cycle Deadline is SEPTEMBER 1, 2022

FSC can only award grants to organizations that are registered as non–profit within their respective state

(Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina). Organizations must also have 501(c)(3) tax status,

or a Fiscal Agent; a limited number of 501(c)(4) organizations with a Fiscal Agent may be accepted.

Some things to consider before applying:

  • Is your organization working for long term social change?
  • Is your total organizational budget $150,000 or less?
  • Is your organization located and doing work in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina?
  • We do not fund direct services, social services or special events.

If you fit these basic guidelines, your organization may be a good fit for the Fund for Southern Communities.

If you have any questions regarding eligibility, preparation of the application, or the funding process,

Southern Black Girls and Women's Consortium

The Southern Black Girls and Women’s Consortium will hold our 2022 Black Girls Dream Conference from Friday, September 16 – Sunday, September 18.

This is an opportunity for us to reflect, rebuild, and be revitalized.

Through dynamic speakers, workshops, and interactive sessions we fill our cups with Joy.

Participants will leave inspired, uplifted, and motivated.

The conference dates were chosen to pay homage to the memory of the four southern Black girls below whose lives were cut short in the bombing at the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church.

This heinous attack took place 59 years ago during the height of the Civil Rights Movement.

Congratulations to Fund For Southern Communities' Board Chair

Darren L. Holmes, PhD
